Automates producer, underwriter and senior underwriter workflow tasks as well as
provides automated rating of pre-underwritten (tariff) business through an expert
underwriting and rating server
Overview
The DirectINSURE® Quote Engine Server provides a framework for deploying a custom
workflow for the application of insurance and reinsurance and all related activities;
this includes automatic rating of standard risks, e.g. a pre-underwritten book-of-business
(tariff); manual conditioning of non-standard risks (non-tariff); and the production
of documents for applications, quotes and policy data pages for bound risks. Once
an application has been completed, the system accurately classifies risks and business
rules and produce quotes based on the client’s own underwriting practices and rating
methodologies, either through the expert rating engine (automatic) or by routing
the application through an (manual) online conditioning process, depending on the
client’s rules and the type of business being considered. DirectINSURE® readily
exchanges data with any external (non-SurSITE®) systems in the workflow, such as
policy, claims management and billing systems. The Quote Engine Server can also
be used to in conjunction with the SurSITE® Contract and Technical Accounting Management
Servers to automate the quoting of facultative placement on an individual risk.
